I am a chemical engineer with a MS and PhD degrees. I have a passion for water and preventing the planet from running out of fresh water. I have been working on technologies for seawater desalination and sustainable wastewater treatment.
Projekt
Most desalination processes rely on reverse osmosis to desalinate seawater. These membranes arc expensive to replace making the process infeasible for many countries and needs to function at a large scale to reduce the water cost. Our process uses freezing to create ice which does not contain salt, and hence can be melted to produce drinkable water. It uses a fraction of energy than evaporation or reverse osmosis.
